LO SAPEVI CHE?
Le acque della laguna blu contengono abbondanti quantità di silice (SiO2) e il suo caratteristico colore turchese deriva proprio da questo composto presente nell'acqua.
Il colore della blue lagoon è infatti determinato dal modo in cui la silice, quando è in sospensione nell'acqua, riflette la luce, riflettendo propio la lunghezza d'onda visibile come quel caratteristico e lattigginoso blu-turchese.

The waters of the blue lagoon contain abundant quantities of silica (SiO2) and its characteristic turquoise color derives from this compound present in the water.
The color of the blue lagoon is in fact determined by the way in which the silica, when suspended in the water, reflects the light, precisely reflecting the visible wavelength as that characteristic and milky blue-turquoise.

Il cavallo islandese è forte, resistente e soggetto a poche malattie. È perfettamente adattato al duro ambiente in cui vive.
Gli antenati del cavallo islandese furono probabilmente portati in Islanda tra all fine tra la fine del IX e l'inizio del X secolo d.C. da gruppi di Vichinghi norvegesi, poi seguiti da colonizzatori provenienti da insediamenti norvegesi in Scozia e Irlanda.

The Icelandic horse is strong, resistant and subject to few diseases. It is perfectly adapted to the harsh environment in which it lives.
The ancestors of the Icelandic horse were probably brought to Iceland between the late 9th and early 10th centuries AD. by groups of Norwegian Vikings, then followed by colonists from Norwegian settlements in Scotland and Ireland.
